Gary Clunas, President of Clunas Funding Group Inc.
Gary Clunas has lived in the Portland area most of his life. After graduating from Clackamas High School in 1965, Gary attended Brigham Young University for one year before enlisting in the US Army. After three years of service, he enrolled at Portland State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Business. Gary owned and operated several small businesses after college and eventually became a stock broker in the 1980s. He owned a small stock brokerage firm in Vancouver named Clunas Investment Company until 1988. It was at this time that Gary made his first private, business purpose loan.
Since the late eighties, he has accumulated over 30 years of experience in lending. His philosophy has always been win-win, whereby the lender and the borrower both achieve successful outcomes. Gary continues to be active in the business and primarily works with many repeat clients. He also enjoys meeting and working with new clients.
